wife's bike almost ready
the wife's parts were painted today (other side fairing not pictured). now were trying to decide if we want to leave it alone or do something else to it airbrush wise etc etc. im ready to put it together to see how it looks assembled! and we have that hotbodies undertail i need to install too! this color really "pops" in the sun and its extremely pink lol. the fairing repair came out perfect too. just need to get; either stock front signals again or some flush mounts (can anyne recommend any?) and i need to install her new xenon bulbs, pink led lights, replacement handlebar and i of coarse need to assemble it! only bad part is i plan on scrubbing in her new tire for her (put a 150 on it) and that means i'll get to do it on a pink bike lmao. at least it looks sweet. |

Now that there is PINK!!! Will be interesting to see it all together... I think it would have looked good with the SE scheme substituting the green for the pink... but thats cool. Will keep my eyes peeled to see the end result!

That would look awesome!!! I have the green 2010 SE and it sits next to my dad's hemi orange R/T challenger and I always think how good the bike would look in other bright colors using the white and black checkered 2010 SE stickers

I like it. It's a nice color pink. Not too bright, not to pale. Just the right shade of pink to make it "Kawasexi". Go with that spelling also. Not the "y". Definitely put some black lettering on it. And get a black windscreen.
Did you paint the hotbodies undertail pink as well? Cause i think it would look awesome with that black. similar to this pic.

If your gonna airbrush the bike, You might want to do some black swirls with a little bit of mist around them. I saw an f4i painted that color pink and the girl airbrushed princess peach on the side fairings, looked pretty good too

thanks for the replies guys. she decided to just have me put it together as is. she liked the color so much she didnt want to mess with it. its about 3-4 coats of house of kolor pink pearl sprayed over white basecoat with about 3 coats of clear. i found some clear vinyl at cycle gear and damn near covered the undertail with it. no sense in letting it get chipped all to hell. i have to put the black shrouds up in the front wheel well area still and need to install all those pink leds still too and it needs brighter headlights. anyways, here it is! were open to suggestions (well, i am at least lol)
i need to get some better pics in the daytime. also still need to mount the license plate but am going to make my own mount. |
