All these gadgets are impressive. Definitely on my wish list.

And yes, I would like to record vids of my riding.

In all honesty, if you want the frugal route, there are a bunch of older model action cams out there that would be a more wallet friendly route. I suspect that thing is going to put a very big dent in many folks bank accounts.

Contour has been out awhile and I've had a lot of success with it. GoPro too has many older models floating around eBay. Even slightly newer ones from Sony or Garmin may do the trick.

Using your phone kinda works (and if it's the only thing ya got, then there ya go) but there are inexpensive options. Wander on down to the photography department at WalMart and see what they have in the video camera aisle.

If you get a hold of him, tell him I would like the full suit in color white.

For anyone looking for a very basic bluetooth system with simplified intercom (one person) and no frills, bells, or whistles, the Sena 3S is worth considering.

Allow me to explain.
For some reason, my wife does not understand that I can not simply answer my cell phone while riding, and she tends to call me often and repeatedly if I don't answer. I have to pull over to a safe spot in a parking lot, remove my gloves, take my phone out of my jacket, take off my helmet, and then call her back.

Interesting. My favorite part of riding is that when I don't answer, people always assume I'm on the bike somewhere. It's a good excuse not to have my phone tethered to me at all times.

If this thread is still alive, I would like to get some of your opinions.
I am thinking of getting a GoPro, but since smartphones have capability to record as well, I can just use my phone as a GoPro alternative. I think the GoPro might have more flexibility when it comes to placing it in many places but the using the phone means carrying less devices around with me. What do you think?

I thought about that but i don't know if you'll want to do that. May be too much for the phone. Its not ment to record constantly like a gopro is.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you are wanting to record video of your rides to post to youtube or to make memories of your rides, then I don't think the iPhone will be up for it. If you just want a dash cam to protect you from liability, then I think it would work.

If you are after a cheap gopro alternative, look in the SJCAM SJ4000. It is literally a gopro clone and it has received great reviews. Particularly from motovloggers. Go on youtube and look at some of the video it really is very clear. You could get that camera and more mounts than you know what to do with for under $100.

I just bought a Sony action Cam HDR-AS20 and I am super impressed so far. I Cost me $150 and cam with a huge bundle of accessories - suction cup mount, SD card, tripod etc. It records in 1080p 60fps and has a slow 120fps mode. Has built in image stabilization that makes it great for motorcycle video.

Since this is no longer about a blue tooth headset or mounting options, it might be better and get more responses if a new thread was opened asking for video advice.

Since it's your thread, you can choose what to do. But if you agree, you can tag Alex and have him split the last three posts into their own topic.

Just a thought.

My smh10 pair was reasonably priced, on amazon no less.

At least $50 less than the prices I saw at the riders discount,
