Me personally, I pray before every ride asking for protection. I don't feel right if I don't. I also like peace and quiet to clear my head. If theres alot of drama around, it throws my ninja skills off.

Put my computer on sleep mode, never turn off. It gives me something to come home for, and I'm very specific about the order I put my gear on. lol

I check my tire pressure, Head light, brake light, turn signals, horn, oil level and a quick scan for any loose bolts/nuts. If you check the oil level first, the rest can be done while you are waiting for the bike to warm up.

Turn my bike on and let it idle while I go put on my motorcyle boots then I back the bike out of my garage. Turn it off, close the garage door and put on my jacket/helmet. Out the front door and away I go.

Sunglasses on. Fire her up and get going. Cops don't chase you if you are going above 130mph.

Oh wait, my bike doesn't go faster than 95mph.

Like everyone else, I gear up while the bike's warming up.

Depending on lights, sunglasses or glasses.

Check tire pressure about once a week.

Check oil and lights about once a month.

Come to think of it, I need to add chain slack inspection in there somewhere.

I go outside, pick bike off its side, make sure some oily residue exist on the oil sight glass, kick rust off chain, kick tires to check for some sort of air pressure, go inside to gear up(flip flops, gym shorts, and baseball cap, and sun glasses), start up bike, immediately rev to 12k and dump clutch, proceed with haste to scene of crash...

And i thought i was the only one who did that!!!!!

But in reality

I go out to the garage and start her up
jacket first
then helmet
gloves
back out of garage
adjust junk as needed
close up garage and head out

being a pilot, I do my normal walk around checking all the usual stuff while it's "warming up"(during the summer it really doesn't need to warm up).

I'll then put my helmet on, then my jacket, then my gloves(boots are on when I walk outside).

I then sit sown, and remind myself to not get into a rush doing anything on the bike. I look over at my right blinker and fairing as a visual reminder of what getting into a hurry can cost me.

Then I take off.

1) Gear up.
2) Do a once over, look at chain, tires, start it and check gauges, etc.
3) Go.

Yes it is a good technique to warm up the bike and i think it has some benefits and is good for the bike as well and warming up is just like we warm up our body before match and same is the case with bike.

actually you HAVE to warm up the bike because they are redonk-q-loosely cold blooded

FI bikes, it's good practice, lets the engine oil and coolant circulate and get close to optimal operating temp before asking anything from engine

I put on riding shoes before going to garage,
start up the bike,
put on jacket,
put on helmet,
put on gloves,
get on bike,
usually say something sarcastic like "Hope I dont f*ck up and die today",
ride into the sunrise/set

gear on, make sure its not leaking too much oil out of the head cover gasket, make sure the chain hasn't completely fallen apart yet, make sure the body work isn't falling off again, shake her to make sure theres gas... if theres any question, open the tank and look in there and shake it... (no odometer or gas gauge) make sure my VRR didn't blow up again and all my lights aren't burnt out, choke the bitch, kickstand up, tell myself not to be a douche, leave.

Its best to ride your bike as soon as the engine will do it. Don't let your bike get up to temp while sittin there, this creates hot spots whereas taking off as soon as possible will warm the engine evenly.
