Yes, VA has some of the strictest driving laws on the planet. It's amazing, really. No one gets laid in this state. Remember this?

I do actually. Thankfully (for me!) that crap was repealed shortly after I moved here (and before I got my first ticket here!).

No official reasons, they just flagged down the bright green bike.

They usually but not often do road blocks IF there's a tip-off about some fugitive trying to escape, robbery, checking for weapons, kidnapping and or some big hunch foreign minister pay a visit to our officials. that kind of stuff.

My friend and I got pulled over during Biketoberfest by two motorcycle cops. They were coming in the opposite direction and we were in the middle of cars and bikes in heavy traffic. The cop who got me said I was doing 74 in a 55 zone but he was doing me a favor and just writting me up for 64. I didn't know how fast I was going but I knew I was stuck in the middle of traffic doing the same as everyone else. Now I support the Sheriff's dept. ever year with a $150 donation so I asked him to give me a break and asked for a warning while I showed him my sheriff's card. I told him I support them so how about a break. He told me no break and he supported me. I decided to shut up after that remark. I did notice the radar gun which was mounted on his handle bars had no speed showing at all.

My friend who was riding right next to me (at the same speed) got a ticket for no helmet (he needed to show his health insurance card but didn't know what the cop really was asking for) but no speeding ticket.

I went to my attorney (who hates cops with an attitude). We'll see next friday what happens. Unfortunately, it's friday the 13th.
