Post your Pre Gens

I dont know if this has been done before but everyone post your pregens with a list of what you have done to them.
First is the silver 05 ninja i bought for my fiance. got it with 15000 on it and it has never been down and is in awsome shape. its been lowered with flushmount signals fender elimination and gearing change. Picked it up for a steal.

Second is my 07 ninja got it with 4000 miles had been wrecked but i fixed it pretty well. It was wrecked on the side the pic is of. it has flush mounts fender elimination and twobrothers exhaust. getting a 15t shortly. Also got it cheap

2003 Ninja 250. 6K miles. I've brought it down in my alley after hitting some sand.

- Added extra brake lights in the empty pods in the tail.
- Changed the bar ends
- Installed a Freeway Blaster horn

I have more to do. I have all the parts to convert the front reflectors into running lights, and to change the turn signal connectors to molex connectors. I also plan to paint her this winter.

Check my sig for everything I've done to my bike! There's a little too much to list

The only things that aren't listed correctly are my fuel injection conversion and k&n pod filter

I'll try and post up a good picture next time I'm on an actual computer.

OK here's mine, an '04 with ~15k miles.

Mods include: BT-45s, '08 J-model rear shock, GS500f fork springs, 15wt fork oil, rear fender chopped, LED brake lights in extra pods, smoked pod lenses, custom flushmount front signals, 15t front 42t rear JT sprockets, Pro-grip grips and tankpad, Mike's sport shield for cold weather/ touring.

Whew, I think that's everything.

It's not bad. The shock from an '08 250 was a nice upgrade for the 50$ I paid for it. It raised up the rear a little, and makes riding 2 up much better. It's also better when the pace picks up in the twisties. I haven't messed with adjusting the preload, I weigh 145lbs and it's been on the first setting since I installed it.

The front forks are a bit too stiff, even though the springs are still softer than recommended for my weight. I definitely don't worry about front end dive anymore. I will probably go back to the stocks springs at some point, but keep the heavier 15wt oil.

If you can find a good deal on a shock go for it. I like the J-model shock because it's made for a bike of similar weight and power, but plenty of people go for ones from other bikes. Then pick up a bottle of fork oil and you'll be good to go.

BTW with 90 series tires and the new shock I have to put a 2x4 under the centerstand to get the rear tire off the ground.

RE: stock fender

i'm thinking of buying another one cheap on the 'bay so I can cut it and modify it but still keep the stock fender just in case.

The thing is i want to keep my turn signals in the back, i don't want to integrate them into the tail light. Plus, I don't want to spend more than 30 bucks on the whole thing :P

How much would it cost to ship? I still have my stock fender I'm happy to part with for 30 shipped, I'll just have to get a box for it and ship it. But I won't do it if shipping is like $25 or more

How much are the eBay sellers asking for shipping on a stock fender?

Oh PS the only thing not stock about my oem fender is i cut the wires to the plate light. Bit that shouldn't matter for you if you're going to hack it up

My pregen. Kinda a old pic. It is still a work in progress but I am going for a modern day cafe racer look. Future upgrades... clipons, possibly K&N pod airfilters, different taillight. The list goes on and on. Haha. I am currently in the process of painting the gas tank. Just failed at using bondo for the first time on the gas tank this evening . I have to sand it all off and try again this weekend.

You can follow my work here... http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=100916

I looked at the double bubble before I bought my windscreen, but mine is taller and wider than the double bubble, and cost a lot less. It doesn't matter though, since you can't get Mike's Shields anymore. Too bad ,cause they were awesome.

http://www.mikesshields.com/

P.S I do plan on painting it though, but I still use the stock shield most of the time.

My 2000. Bought it with 2845 miles. Just turned it over 6k miles. So far all I've got done to it is I changed over to GP shifting. I've got EX500 levers and clutch perch waiting to go on and Pirelli rubber and Vesrah front brake pads coming in the mail. Hopefully by next season it will be all boy-racer'd out. I've got a very good idea of what I want to do to my bike now.
