Hot bodies under tail install
Well I decided to eliminate my rear fender with a hot bodies smoke under tail. I downloaded the directions from the site and it shows some trimming on the battery box ?? Is this correct sounds like a pain. Anyone have some experience with this install?

I just put one on my girlfriends 250 a few weeks back and I thought it was a pain in the ass. You will need 4 arms to get the whole thing buttoned up once al the trimming is done... don't know about you, but I was only born with 2 arms.
Took me about 4-5 hours, about 1 hour of that was me drinking beer and scratching my head. All you really need to do, is take the whole tail apart and cut some off both sides of the battery box flap. Dry fit the whole mess about 5 times to make sure you get everything right (guarantees bj from the gf)... I rate this job a six-pack. I've replaced a 4.3 v6 vortec with a 5.3 v8 vortec, took 3 days... I rate that job about job at 3 cases. |

What they are calling the "battery box", is just the plastic undertail that is on the bike when stock. You are just trimming it slightly and laying the Hotbodies undertail right over it.

You have to trim the mud flap, because you put the undertail over it.
Underbodies is a pain in the ass to install. It looks awesome but its just way too much effort to get it on. Getting the license plate on was tricky for me as well. |

I'm trying to post a link to the pdf, but won't let me. Ive purchased a vertical bracket so I won't be using the under tail to mount plate. Will be using led license plate bolts.
