My craigslist special Rat Bike project

Hey guys, new to the forum. I just picked up a 2004 about a month and half ago for $790. It was running but the fairings were iffy and it had a bad rattle can paint job on it. I had to rebuild the carbs but I finally got it back on the road and phase one of the project is complete.

So far I've eliminated the rear fender, removed all the fairings.
Custom gas tank by a artist buddy of mine.
KN pod filters
Exhaust Baffles removed
Needles shimmed

Phase 2 is going to be swapping the whole front section for a round headlight and new gauge with bar end mirrors

Might I suggest you check out Blue Collar Bobbers, he offers a cafe' racer kit for the Ninjette.
http://bluecollarbobbers.com/kawasak...r-aka-gpx-250r
He also sells parts of the kit separately if you contact him via e-mail.

The dashboard kit is amazing

And the headlight/turn signals set-up

No sense in trying to reinvent the wheel, when someone has already done the hard work for you.

Thanks, I was super excited when I got it back. I have my friend free reign to do whatever he wanted so I didn't know what to expect, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

When did they start doing that? When I contacted them several months (maybe a year) ago they would not sell parts of the kit.

Has anyone had any luck with purchasing seperate parts from this kit yet?
I'm keen for the arse end of the kit by itself which will cut down the postage cost to Aus too.

I reached out to them and the rear end/seat is pretty involved. He will not sell it alone. I've sent a few emails and he offered me a 10% discount on the whole kit, which hardly covers the shipping.

If you watch the videos it may be possible to build your own rear end
