Hey from Texas
Hey everyone. Picked up a 2008 250r with 386 original miles back in Feb. It's setup for track. Still acquiring parts, mainly why I'm here; parts and info.
Looking forward to getting to know these bikes better! |

oh man. i need so much to finish this conversion. saving for suspension right now. unless i can find some used stuff, it's gonna cost me about $2200 to do it the right way. but i need: front and rear suspesion clip ons new gearing (ordering that this week actually) track fairings (new or used) some kind of brake upgrade, cause this **** is so spongy. maybe a RCS14 with a floating Brembo or Galfer rotor and an upgraded caliper? i don't use my brakes much now, but mainly cause they don't do too too much. quickshifter/tune i'm sure there's a ton more. |

For brakes, all you need are some stainless lines and new fluid. Just sitting around, the fluid will soak up moisture from air and get soft. I race with stock brake rotors and calipers. They work awesome once you upgrade the lines and put fresh fluid in. Also i leave rear brake all stock as I hardly ever use it.
