Complete Partout (2012 250)

PLEASE NOTE: this sale is on HOLD;
I am attempting to see if I can get the bike fixed up

Hey guys, I'm planning to get my bike back from the wrecker and part everything out completely. I'll be doing a full evaluation when I get the bike back. The frame is bent, but all the internals are good. I'll try to list things that have been 'called' (though nothing is sold yet). If you'd like anything, ping and I'll try to get pics/evaluate the condition. The bike was treated very well, and has ~3500 miles.

Called pieces

Pm me a price for the carbs, exhaust, windscreen, and for both seats.

Please give me a price for each, not as a bundle

If you still have the middle tail fairing I'd be interested.

Also possibly interested in the Area P exhaust and the carbs... Which size "can" do you have for the exhaust, the 18in?

For the AreaP: Full length quiet core.
Should have all the fairings; condition of everything is the TBD

Really? Where would you go for that? I looked all over after my mistake at the track last spring and wound up doing it myself with some tie-downs, a come-along and my truck.

And more importantly, Hotaru, Yakaru's 250 would make an awesome track bike if it's that inexpensive to straighten the frame.

So... give us the details man!

Take the frame to Mackie of Mackie welding in the LA area he knows his **** and is very reasonable. Most racers in SoCal who crash their bike(happens a lot) take it to mackie. Tell him Perez from RojoRacing sent you and he'll take care of you.

see jason's comment above about mackie... like all the racers take their bent frames to him. there is also another guy in socal with similar prices... i forget that guys name. i think @Trailerboy531 just recently took an r6 frame to him.

I think the other guy I'd Dr. Jon but I'm not 100% sure. I do know who your referring to and he's like Mackie in that he's been around a long time and also know his ****. I've always used Mackie becuase we were pointed there first and he's always got the job don't so like they say if its not broke don't fix it.

I took an R6 frame to Mackie, located in Sierra Madre. He did an amazing job, is incredibly easy to work with, and if I ever have the misfortune to need frame work done again I'll be going to him. He charges $100 to check a frame and prices go up from there if additional work is required depending on what you need, the $100 is applied to the total cost of repair if applicable.

The other option is Dr. Jon in Anaheim. He has a website you can check out here: http://drjohnsmfs.com/
Dr. Jon's pricing is listed and I hear he does good work as well

The most important piece of information I can give you here is this: Dr. Jon was trained by Mackie.

okay, I think almost all the major parts have been called -- when I get the bike back I'll be looking over everything and making the call of if I want to try and track-in-ate or part out. Parting out is the smarter financial move, but a dedicated track bike is also appealing. I'll keep everyone updated as things progress. Unfortunately I'm not sure how long it will be until I get the bike -- yay insurance complexity.

I just need 1 OEM frame hole cover... My used 08 came with 3 out of 4. ?

If those didn't get slung off, let me know what you'll take for 1 (or all if you just wanna keep them together).

If you do decide to go with the part out and you do not need the fairing bolts I would be interested in buying those.

Although a track bike would be cool.

Honestly it's more a financial decision -- fixing costs money, selling 'makes' money. I had to dip into my emergency fund to buy Saturn and the payout, if I take Hotaru back and don't part her out, will barely be half what I paid. Stack a new front wheel, forks, and frame repair on top and I'm out quite a bit.

yeah thats the only problem. same problem with other addictions like crack... all the extra money goes toward feeding the addiction. and track addiction is a strong one.

Rear pillion seat

Hello,

How much would you want for the pillion seat, if you had one and it wasn't damaged?
