Will 120/180 Tire warmers work with our bike?
I was going to order some up, there is a company that sells ones for $165, BUT they are for 120/180 and I have a 110/140 setup. I am worried the 40mm of overhang might cause the warmers to overheat, as there won't be anything to absorb that extra heat...
Any experiences would be welcome... |

The size difference really isn't that big. The front will fit fine. I used a 180-195 rear warmer on my bike once, seemed to fit ok. For long term use you might get some hot spots.
I purchased a set for 150-165 rear tires. They fit much better and even fit my old-gen with 16" wheels. I have also used these warmers on my GSXR750 with a 195 rear tire and they worked, perhaps not getting as much heat into the rim as a wider warmer but good enough. On a side note. Looking around the track I would say that at least 95% of the racers use either Chicken Hawk or Woodcraft warmers. The cheap ones just don't last. Most of these guys are broke ass motorcycle racers who would use cheap warmers if they could get away with it. Get a good generator too. Honda EU2000 is the racers choice.

Jordan I have a company that makes some that will fit.
http://2wheeldiscount.com/Biketek-mo...s-P238413.aspx Sportisi is using them on their race bikes.
