I saw that awhile back. For some reason it went dead after he said that he hasn't had a chance to dyno it, on 4/09.
Pretty awesome though. |

I'd pay decent money to turbo my Ninja to 40 whp.

For what it would cost to turbo this bike you are better off spending the money on a bigger bike.

Doing stuff like this is a hobby for some people and very "worth it." Climbing the mountain because it's there.
Sometimes the idea behind power-increasing mods on a bike like the Ninja 250 isn't because the owner wants a real powerful bike, he want's it to be more powerful than other 250's on the block *Tim Allen grunt* |

But it wouldn't be a turbo 250.

Well I can now see everyones point. If you have the money, the desire and the ability then why not just do it. Tuning is how the import drivers have been able to get so much power out of their 4 and 6 cylinder engines.

Yea the most fun car I have ever owned was a 97 GST eclipse that I did a turbo swap on. It was not the fastest but to hear her spool up was amazing!!!!

I have a cold-air intake on our turbo Mazdaspeed3, and it still makes me smile when the turbo spools up. Fierce whooshing sound, and it feels like the car is going to take flight. It's not particularly loud (heck, it's still carb-legal!), but the sound it does make is fun. When Ann drives that car she calls it the dragon under the hood.

I couldn't ride a turbocharged bike. If the turbo was small and rather smooth, then it wouldn't make much power, so why bother. If you add a big enough of a turbo to really get some HP, the bike would then lose it smoothness, and therefore be only able to ride straight lines.
I'd rather just get a 600 and call it a day. Of course in some places it would make sense, like the ones where 250's are the biggest you can get for a while. Then why not. Not in the US though, too many good alternatives. You might as well get a 600, because your gas mileage will die a horrific death with the addition of a t/c.
