Yep. Every car does it too. It's a test of the bulbs in your dash so that you can tell if one is burned out BEFORE you end up with a blown engine after running out of oil.

I was trying to remove my speedo sender/meter gear to see if the spacer on my pregen fits inside but my Lockhart Philips Racing front stand finally bent under the weight of my bike despite having so much stuff taken off (fairings, exhaust, headlight, rearsets, passenger pegs and brackets, sprocket cover, etc).

Well, mine finally gave and I didn't even put any weight at the front.

Wow, I think mine's actually worse after taking a real good look at it. The tubing that the stem extension is welded onto looks crushed/pinched from the weight on mine. I have a hairline crack on the top weld.

Riding in the rain is very relaxing for me. It's just the idiot cagers on the road who forget how to drive.

If mine is no longer holding the bike up with less of a sag/bend, how the heck is yours?!

I guess I have more angle and less lift. All I know is that the tire is still off the ground when I use the lift

Today I took the mirrors off and put on some new bar end mirrors. Also put the mirror block off plates. Now all I need to find some real screws for the windscreen...

Lockhart Phillips has agreed to replace it.

The revised one has a reinforced triangular attachment where the lifting arm meets the top of the stand. Looks much stronger.

Yesterday I got my first service done. Bike feels soooo smooth now, and I took her up to 80mph. Could not find 7th gear! I was like, wait a second, the RPM's are really high up there lol.

They also fixed the gap between my right grip and the end cap, which was like that since they delivered my bike. They said, "oh it must have moved when you crashed"..I didn't bother arguing because they didn't charge me anyways, but I knew it was like that brand new, plus my bike fell on its left side, not the right.

Today I rode to Hershey Park and back, and when I returned home, I noticed one of the lower (big one) bolts on my fairing was missing!! Argh! I don't know if it was because of the dealer, or it just came loose, but it's bothering me to know it's missing. I might have to go to home depot or something and look for one...

Lowered it 1 inch and added a top box by bolting it to a spare back seat I got off craigslist.

Edit:
The top box is only for short trips to the market less than a mile away, if I decide to keep it I'll install a metal rack and probably side cases as well. The plastic seat pan and locking mechanism aren't tough enough for serious daily use.

Pulled the forks off. Going to ship them to Chris at Little Red Ninjette to have them built (springs, emulators, oil). Can't wait to see the difference.

Removed the kleen air system to eliminate the backfire/popping issue with dan moto jisu.

Pulled both plugs to get a reading, seems to be running a little lean. Will bump up to 3 washers later this week or next weekend. Looking at ordering a jet kit.

Pretty much an hour, I used to work in Woodstown and it took me 50-60 mins on the NJTP to get to work. It takes me 35-40 mins to get into Philly. It's not a crazy distance to hook up for a ride, I commute an hour each way.

We'll do this, but not this weekend...gonna be outta town. The wife is taking me to DC to do some sightseeing for my B-day.

Oh and for the thread, I sat in traffic on I-295 and Rt 206 because of an accident. Cager flipped their car involving a couple other cars, then another accident happened because of the backup.

Rode it to lunch lunch to meet an old girly friend of mine. Noticed my clutch lever was loose, so I tightened it there. After we ate she followed me through some twisties in her toy.

I sent off my oil to the lab to get it tested. We'll see how well the oil is holding up to abuse and if anything is internally wrong.
