New Boots

Picked up a pair of A* Supertech R used for a steal. First thing I have to say, this is by far the most comfortable boot I have ever put my foot into. I wouldn't go for a long walk in these, but on the bike even with being as large and as protective as they are, I barely notice I'm wearing them.

Hope I never have to test them out for protectiveness, but I feel confident that they will protect me much better than my starter boots (Vega Sport 2)

I'm just getting everything together and set up this year so that I can hit the track next season. I'll be moving in the next couple years to within 2 hours of a track, so I'm taking care of the large expenses (gear, bike etc) so that there's more leftover for more time on the track.

I took a chance on these since I had never tried on a set of SuperTechs. Only the SMX+, which I didn't like at all because they felt very narrow, and I couldn't really find a size that felt comfortable.

Picked these up for just under $300, and other than some exterior scuffs, they're pristine.

I'm happy with the deal, $500 boots for $300 makes me happy.

I think I'd be nervous about crashing in a full setup that costs less than $300.

The only piece of equipment that I own that is not second hand is my helmet.

Yeah I hear ya. Good gear is good gear and a used lid is not a wise way to ride!

I wear casual ridding gear , I dont do track days and I am not a particularly aggressive rider..

Hopefully my icon boots, pants and gloves coupled with a jacket and a decent helmet will save most of my skin ! lol

Very good buy!

Used gear are the way to go. And I've seen tons of deals lately. Don't be afraid to buy used.
