Fuel in Vacuum line

I have the vacuum port mod, due to frequent carb syncing (any time I touch it). The last two times I pulled the caps off the vacuum line to hook up my manometer, a small amount of fuel came out. What's up with that!?
I just pulled the tops off my carbs, checked the slides, and a general visual inspection, but couldn't find anything obvious.

I only noticed one thing that looks fairly new, and that is some circular markings on the needles. The needles are Factory Pro, and about a year old. I don't know if this picture does it justice (iphone), but it short of shows the marks I'm talking about. Any ideas if they are related, and if either are a problem?

I would think a small amount of fuel in the vacuum lines is acceptable. They are, after all, connected to the downstream side of the carbs.

here's a pic of some brand new FP needles for comparison. did you buy yours new?

Yes, they were new. I have pulled them MANY times, and the marks are recent. The photo doesn't show them quite clear enough, but I can just feel the grooves if I run the needle through my fingers.... they are very, very light groves, like a scratch almost. I wasn't sure if these needles wear out that quickly (they probably have ~10K miles on them), or if it was a sign the needle jet was starting to wear, or something along those lines.
