Any others using Silicone on their chains

Did a quick search on this forum for the word silicone and found only one applicable response and it was the opposite of what I expected. It concerned the popular DuPont Teflon spray and the comment was that the label indicated it had no silicone.

Over the years I had tried just about everything and nothing really worked. The best endorsement on any of the cans was that it was that even though they were for non O ring chains they were at least compatible with O ring chains....whatever that meant.

On some other sport bike sites riders had indicated they were just using WD 40 and they thought it worked as well as anything else.

Anyway, I've been using silicone spray on my O ring chains for a couple of years now and and I'm more than happy with the results. So I was just wondered if it was popular with any other riders.
