Good things come to those who wait...

...and not just me!! This is not only a thread to show of my new ninjette (WOOT WOOT), but it's also a tribute to those still waiting for their small slice of heaven. Hang in there, THIS BIKE IS WORTH IT!

Without further ado, here she is (haven't named her yet, so any suggestions let me know ):

Well, after I picked it up from the dealer I just went literally right down the street to our local high school (where my mom works) to show it to her. Then about 3 minutes down the road to her house where my brothers were, then about 8 minutes back to work. I was so paranoid about the whole "break-in mentality" that I didn't hardly go over 45 my entire trip! After I read the other thread about break in, I just know that I need to relax and not worry about it too much. Now that I purchased the bike, it's raining like crazy! It's supposed to stay wet and rainy the rest of this week, but hopefully it'll clear out in time for the weekend. My first ride was short, but man was it ssweeeeeett.

Wow. I had the same experience with rain when I bought mine. I was going to pick it up and the floodgates opened! We were so far below the average rainfall before I bought the bike, and after I bought it we had rain for about 3 weeks straight!

(Note: I am laughing at the sentiment of this statement not the fact that you can't ride because it's raining)

Haha! LOL!

Same here man. We're very low on the rainfall amount for this year. But if the weather is accurate, we've got LOTS more rain to come. Doesn't bother me too much b/c we really need the rain over here.

Atleast I've got the bike and my gear ... all I need is some nice weather!

Well, now we've got sunny weather, so I'm getting some riding finally. I'm torn, because we still need rain, but I'm really having fun getting out on the road.

I want to ride, but I want the rain. Schizophrenia for life.

LOL! Same here man, but once it's sunny I'm taking advantage of every second (I've been itchin to ride for the longest time, but now that I've actually got my bike it's an even itchier itch)!

Nice color choice! I wanted a red one, but my sister had already gotten red so I had to choose blue.

The rain does suck! Ever since I've gotten my bike in February, my car has been neglected until today. Supposebly it's suppose to rain through the end of this week down here in SE TX.

Have fun riding her once the rain clears up and congrats!

Yeah same here. It looks like I'm actually about 2 1/2 hours or so NW of you (I'm about 25mins N of Austin).

I'm sure if we go read all 1,573 pages of the Stimulus Package we should be able to find a way to fund a whole bunch of Ninja 250's for drought relief. Of course you realize it will only be an 80% matching loan repayable in two years, and you will have to agree to comply with all rules and regulations in effect when you get the money, and any Congress may write after you get it, and . . . ah never mind I just buy the dam thing myself.

As stated by these guys [above] I got a competition werkes fender eliminator installed by the dealer (they did the install free since I financed that and my frame sliders with the bike).

Honestly, I can't give an entire review b/c I haven't ridden around long enough to make an opinion. However, I can say that if you've got the money, it would be well spent to get those ugly fender plastics off the back. If you don't, the good ol fashioned dremmel method should work fine for a quick fix.

LOL, thanks Jeffrey! That's definitely the most unique name I've heard so far ... and it fits the sexy-ness of the bike!

And OTD, I got it about $4650, but I'm financing a little more than that due to parts and such..
