New Hotbodies ColorForm body kits in Green

I think these are pretty cool. Slap on white or yellow vinyl number plates, and you're ready to race. Buff/wetsand em up to make em real pretty.

Next time I crash, I'm going to use these. I like my painters, but this saves me $500 plus in paintwork - average twice a year

My understanding is that they are colored through and through not only so that you don't have to paint in the first place but so that, when they do crash, buffing/sanding/polishing the scratches away will not take out the paint/color. Is that correct? Kinda like the Buell Blast's fairing material being made of the same stuff in golf balls which can be cleaned right up.

Are other colors possible?

Yes, that's what they are. Green only for now. I haven't heard if they have other colors available.

Does this come with a whole new body, everything green except the fuel tank (front hugger, sides, rear, windscreen)?

How well does this match the stock 2012 green (metallic fleck pain)? I cant tell because that green never photographs well it always looks like the 1980s green plastic.
you know these are "race" fairings right?

it comes with the front fender... read this...
Includes:

Race Upper
Race lower

Race Tail

Race Front Fender

FREE Windscreen also included!

A lot of people cut out a light anyway, but you still need to make your own headlight mount.

It would be nice if they recognized the market for these outside of racing.

Anyway, did I miss something or is insurance just replacing what was damaged in the delivery attempt? If I missed something and it turns out you were in an accident, then heal up and good luck.

I would guess that it is gelcoat. I had a blue gelcoat body on a race car several years back.... it was awesome.

You no like gelcoat?

Nah, it's cool. I'm gonna run the bodywork unpainted (Chad's busy painting other stuff).

Besides, for me to pick it up would cost me $60.
