Helmet Mohawks
Alright, so this is a 2 part post here. *pauses current Mordeth13 video*
1. What do YOU think about helmet 'hawks? Do you like them? Hate them? What do you think when you see other bikers wearing them? Do you try and ignore them and get as far away as possible (trouble makers/squids/etc)? Or do you laugh because deep down inside you know it's a lil' funny and continue on your way? 2. Any idea where to get a helmet mohawk that adheres to your helmet via any other way than suction cups? Opinions people, opinions. I want to hear them! We have a very wide spectrum of people here and how they think about things so I hope to hear at least one funny story from personal experience. |

I actually plan on getting a mohawk, and yes, all i am finding are some suction cup crap. Iknow the mohawk gives that biker a bad image but I would like to wear one when at a meet or something 8)

I think they're hysterical, but I don't think I'd ever wear one. If you can pull it off, more power to you

Yes, I'm thinking of getting one too, but I hate the suction cup look.. It makes me laugh and I like to see other people laughing so I'm hoping I'll get a few more smiles than not with one.

If they're worn as a joke, it's a good joke. If they're worn to be badass, it's a bad joke. Since I can't tell when a stranger is wearing one I think they look dumb, but if a buddy wore one 'cause he thought it was funny I'd encourage him.

I tend to stay away from mohawks because they tend to attract unnecessary attention. Especially LEOs.

I vote no, I have seen them a few times, but that is just not me right now, if a bunch of friends had them, I might. But I doubt it.

One of my best friends rides with a neon pink mohawk and another a red one and they both are some of the best riders I have ever known. (I think Alex knows them too)
I personally wouldn't be able to pull off the Mohawk look... but maybe some helmet hair... Ponytails My best friend Cara- (Pink Mohawk)

I won't tell 'em
I was more aiming to dispel the myth that only hooligans/bad arses wear them. Cara and Tom are far from hooligans/bad arses.

I think they're awesome to a point. I have one so I might be a little bit biased though. I agree that if they're worn to be cool or something, then it's just plain stupid, but I think they're fun, and I've always liked to be different, so I have one. It's even better when I ride my scooter!

Some of the animal ears are very amusing...
http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/trip_r...0_sun_ears.jpg In regards to the mohawk, animal ears, etc. IMHO, if it's something to wear just for fun when you're with other riders then cool, but if you're riding solo then dunno... the rider might come across as an attention-starving person.

The other day I saw a tinted face shield with a picture of a skull on it. I thought it was pretty cool. Too bad I couldn't get a 2nd look since it was some guy who wheelied away doing about 50 on a hayabusa.

I'm not sure about it just yet. I'd like to sport some devil horns personally, or maybe a Trojan helmet mohawk. Something that not everyone has. The trick is making it somewhat durable, but still destructible so it doesn't cause any issues in a crash.
Hey Tyke, your Scorpion helmet is the silver version of mine! I have the red EXO 400 Octane. I love that helmet. |

I like the EXO too.. recently though I got a modular and am loving that one more. There is a bit more noise but I like being able to flip up the front... (Except it came with a matte finish, nothing to protect the designs from the riggers of riding and now is damaged in a few places from pebbles and the like I gotta get another one and then have it coated or something)
