Kicked the GSXR and the Duc Monster today.

Yup, these bikes pulled up next to me today at a red light (I think they were dating). The Duc gives the racing scream, and my little ninjette says, "oh now, it is on!" (keep in mind I once went against a Ferrari GTS in a 1980 Datsun 510... I lost, but it is fun to say I gave it a try).

Green light.
Duc leaps over the line.
I did the same, in case she was serious about the challenge (it was a good thing too).
GIXR I think may have had a more mature moment because I don't think he engaged, he just let me play with his girlfriend.
The next thing I know, they are GONE (you probably aren't surprised).
But what you may not be expecting is they were not in front of me

I actually did take the Duc through 2nd gear (she was probably very green to riding), but then she gave up, or she would have peeled the paint off my bike as she passed..... So I did beat a Duc, but it is a hollow victory knowing newbie threw an early race. Now, what would make that a satisfying victory is if I knew that they knew they were had by a 250

Oh BTW: All straigts....

It just sounds like he pulled from the light fast. No need for name calling. Not squiddin just funning. Geez !!I am the squid nazi and saw through that. Hey Headshrink I bet she just held back, on the 250 even balls out you were probably in the limit Be careful out there you just might meet your match.

Lol I grilled a Corolla yesterday. Decided to go h2h against a Ducati 1098r one night at a stoplight, I was redline shifting (2.0L Mazda3i), he was...um..."shifting". At around 50 when I'm going towards third (or fourth) I hear that ever pants-tightening howl and it just...goes. Bye-bye.
Of course I knew I'd get rocked, but I did it JUST to see how f**kin fast those things are....

You see, now that's funny!

At a boy!

Back on topic: Trying to out gun/ride another rider is in many ways irresponsible. That's how I interpreted this. In addition, you're influencing others (noobs) to do the same--try to out gun/ride, to see if they themselves can beat them. Ride safe, smart, and responsibly on the streets because it's not just your life but others who share the road with you. Want to test your bike/skills? Take it to the track.

Nemesis is also on a break. TOS isn't there to censor us, it's there so we don't have to censor ourselves and there are very clear guidelines for what is acceptable here. I'm sorry to see whenever I have to take the time to sort these tiffs out; it's not a good use of my time and it's not a good use of any of our member's time either. All I'd ask from those that aren't involved at all in this silliness is to continue to use the "report posts" button (with the triangle sign to the left of each post) if you see things that are out of line, and for folks to also have a little patience that this too shall pass.

Dragging is not where the Ninjette excels. For those who need to find out how well a Ninjette drags, it is over 14 sec. for the quarter-mile, so, it is not phenomenal to experience, and nothing to flaunt.

Mind you, considering her light weight, she could almost guarantee a win against a ZX14, and all cars - over the first 10 feet, at 5 mph.

Yeah, that was pretty much the entire experience.... I assume the satire was obvious, in that I am not counting any real "bragging rights," just fun.

haha wow. but I'm sure you know in any real world race with professionals on the same bigger bikes would have schooled a 250 in a drag race right

I can "own" bigger bikes too.. usually face to face in the twisties and @ a safe place like the track.. like this

You're right, I just dont see how that post is offending to anyone, other than the OP, and the OP put himself in that position when he started a thread about drag racing...

Heck who hasn't popped the clutch and done the "greenlight flight" with some hotshot next to you.... when I think they are gonna push it further and pass, I brake on purpose just so they know I've brought it back into line and the event has been bailed on.... they never know if they'd of won or not...
