First commute to work

I rode my bike to work for the first time today. I think it was the best decision I have made in a while!

It's a short commute for me, about 10 miles, but it felt like it only took me about 30 seconds! I was actually sad to have to get off the bike when I got here...lol

Welcome to the world of commuting on a bike. I've been doing it since January. My commute is only 8.3 miles but, like you said, it feels like it only takes a minute.

Be careful out there, the asphault jungle can be a rough place.

Yea bike rides for some reason always feel short while going to work, and I ride 1hour each way lol. Good on saving gas though.

I've been riding to work since January as well (that's when I picked up my bike) and it is awesome. I travel about 12 miles and it feels a little longer then you guys, but then again I am in NYC traffic over a bridge and then a "Highway" with lot's of lights.

I didn't really realize this before now, but I didn't hit a single red light on the way to work. Quite a feat since I go through 14 traffic lights and cross 4 major roads.

I once and once only stopped at 2 red lights on my way to work. It was awesome but freaky! After I got passed the last light I thought to myself, "WTF just happened? I got here way too fast, I must've ran a red light or two."

That can't be fun on a motorcycle...

Sometimes I take the bus just because of traffic.

Going home is better, I can usually do it in about 10-15 minutes.

I hear ya... 4 miles, never takes less than 30 mins.

It would be 10 if I split, but massachussetts drivers would run me over and think they did the world a favor, so I stick to lanes.

I split all day long, if not I'll never get anywhere on time!

Rode my bike to work today (as I always do), meanwhile, severe thunderstorms are rolling in. Yay.
