----------------- Despite a slightly warmer and somewhat cleaner circuit in Montmeló, the lightweight class struggled to match their pace from FP1. This was partly down to rain in the final five minutes putting an end to any plans of a time attack. This left Lorenzo Dalla Porta leading the timesheets about half a tenth slower than the morning benchmark set by Alonso Lopez. The Spaniard stayed quickest on the combined ranking despite an early crash on cold tyres drastically limiting his FP2 running. Tatuki Suzuki was second best in the afternoon, followed by another third place for Gabriel Rodrigo.
