Casey had to avoid a muskrat running across the track during FP2 today, and he was able to just miss it.

A friend of mine is at the track right now with media credentials. I think I may need to accompany them to a race once.

Moto GP

First off, sorry if this thread is in the wrong place. I wasn't sure where it was supposed to go.

What are your guys' opinions on the race so far/are you happy with the results of the race if it has ended by the time you read this? I'm assuming most of you are watching this race as we all love to ride Personally I'm rooting for Stoner, Spies, and Hayden. I WAS rooting for Rossi but....

yea i enjoyed the race, i just HATE the american speed tv coverage of it. again watching they went to commercial everytime an important pass took place. i dont get why they cant just go commercial free like euro coverage does. the race is only an hour long, cant we make it an hour without having beer, insurance and sausage commercials shoved down our throats????

now about the race:
casey stoner is freakin unstoppable!
its a shame pedrosa missed a few races with injuries, he's been killing it as well.
glad spies got a podium finish on his home track, and being american i like seeing a homeboy up there.
not a lorenzo fan at all so always nice to NOT see him on the podium.
and whats up with team ducati???? do they suck or what? not the riders obviously but the bikes! hayden dropped from 3rd to last!

Uh yeah the hondas are mega fast. Spies recovered from a bad start and finished where he would have regardless of the crappy start. Boring race to watch IMO. I would rather watch the 125's

Hi folks. Please don't post same-day race results without adding "SPOILER" to the title of the thread. The few race posts have been added on to the other racing thread already going on in General.

From our T.O.S:
Quote:
2.11. Threads posted about current racing results where TV coverage is imminent shall not contain information about the result and will have the word "SPOILER" in the title. The Moto-News section has its thread titles blanked on the main forums page for just this very reason.

Well I'm happy with the results as I wasn't sure Spies would be able to pull it off. Rossi continues to anger me, though.

i cant blame rossi too much, theres something wrong w the ducati bikes. theyv had probs all season and seeing hayden, who knows this track prob the best among the riders, fell off completely from the front of the pack and was last in a matter of a few laps. i cant get too down on the riders when the machines just seem to be lacking and just not up to par this season.

MX was crazy. Didn't get there but a buddy texted me throughout the day and I watched on TV. Local guy sets fastest qualifying time (in the second practice, rougher wetter track), both factory Honda's DNF due to mechanical reasons in race 1, Dungey's Suzi won't start, and Dungey is on the start line but has no bike, had to give up 1st gate pick in moto 2, he enters the race 3/4 of a lap down and takes a 7th, Dowd at age 46 gets an 8th, Speed doesn't know the race started and is talking about the parade lap, while Reed crashes in turn 1, . Guess the Hurricane (Irene, not Hannah) had alot to do with that race.
