Has anyone shipped a complete engine?

I'm curious if anyone has shippped a complete engine within the continental US. And if so, how much did it cost?
I'm looking at possibly getting into a Ninja 250 project and parts bikes seem to be scarce around here. I may be able to get a rolling chassis, but would likely need to sorce an engine elsewhere. I think the answer to this question will decide whether or not I will get into the project.
