If you watch the video closely, he's got the wheel cranked over. The problem is that he topped the hill going too fast and the front wheels lost contact with the pavement as it crested.

so had there been something solid to run into after exiting the road, those airbags would be useless. They inflated/deflated before the front end came back down.

He's lucky he didn't roll it. No helmet, no gloves, no cage, no neck restraint, I bet he'd be looking at a major closed head brain injury, broken/crushed left arm/hand, etc.
