How long have you had your bike?

First time posting here and I notice a lot of people here say they love their bike so much and I want to know how long do they actually keep their Ninjettes.

I bought my bike new in 05 so I have had it for over 6 years and 22,000 miles later. Yes, I would say this bike is a keeper.

Had my pre gen for about 8 months then sold it to get a new gen which i had for 8 month also. only reason i sold it was to get my motard. Couldn't have two bikes at the time.

Bought my '09 in May of '09, so this is my third summer. I'm planning on many more years with it.

Been riding my Ninja 250 since last year, I sold my ZX14 and 250 Supermoto and after many years of multiple bike ownership I'm down to this as my one and only bike... and I love it!

I never owned or rode a motorcycle of any kind until September of last year when I bought my Ninja 250. Its such a great bike, that I can't understand why anyone would want anything else. High performance, high gas mileage, what bike is better?

I intend to keep it as long as it still runs.

Well I have owned many bikes. 18 or so... many new. 2 Ninja 250's. Had my 02 Ninja now for a couple of years. But.........when I was 15 my father helped me buy a 1981 Honda CX500. I paid him back over the next year for it. I am now 42 . I have done tons of maintenance and repairs and such. The old girl is very dependable and I would ride her anywhere. 27 years how about that??? :P There is a pic on my profile.http://www.ninjette.org/forums/pictu...pictureid=4162

Got my red 09 in September/October of 2010 and have put ~4k miles on her this far. However, since it’s my first I’ll definitely want to pick up another bike at some point and probably won’t be able to keep both. Perhaps, the little ninja will stay within the family after I’ve used it to polish my skills for another year or two.

3 years, and I still love it. I've tried so many other bikes at demo rides (20+), and I haven't found anything yet that screams "This is so much better! This is what you want!" Lots of cool bikes out there, but every bike has compromises.
