Well I've noticed with sprint you need to actually activate that feature to use it.. with T-Mobile you didn't. But once rooted you can use barnacle or even android tether and do it for free anyway. Looks like android is winning

I had an iphone, and recently switched to a Android based phone.
The iphone was very simple to use, and it just plain worked well. The interface was much much smoother to use than android, it was faster, and the battery life was outstanding. Android offers more slick customization options than the iphone, however its missing a few of the really good apps like netflix, flipboard, and whistle. The battery life on Android sucks. There are app killers available, but they just make the battery life worse on some android phones. I dont know why the iphone can run for a week inbetween charges and your lucky if you get a day out of the android phone. So if your looking for a phone that just plain works, and works well, with plenty of applications for home,games,business....iphone all the way. If you are looking for a phone with the latest gimmicky options, and customization tweaks...go android. All in all....iphone beats android in my opinion. Its faster, smoother, less clunky, and has more app options. |

netflix works on android.. fairly new though, so not sure if its working on all phones yet but i had working on a g2 like 3mos ago. pretty sure if your running cynagen mod 7 it will work for any phone. flipboard and whistle not sure what they are.. as for battery life, really depnds on the phone and use.. can always adjust brightness to help.. some roms have better battery life then others. i know when i had my iphone, battery life was no different then any other full touchscreen phone.. actually i had to even by a $80 piggy back for the iphone to make it through a 8hr work day.

i just downloaded it on the evo 3d and working on that as well . if you go on netflix's website they show the phones it works for..looks like about 10 android phones. but if your running at least android 2.3 it most likely will work on your phone.

Android!!
I have a Samsung Galaxy S with Darky's ROM (to be used strictly when I go to Europe) and a T-Mobile MyTouch 4G for the US (I'm thinking of switching ROMs on this one too...) Love both of them! |

Add another vote for Android and the EVO 4G.
And the iPhone works great, just as well as any other Apple product, just as long as you don't mind having Apple stand over your shoulder telling you what you can and can't do with your hardware. There's a reason everyone jailbroke their iPhones the second they could, and it wasn't just to get away from AT&T. |

I don't think they make feature phones anymore. They are more popular in Europe.

Nokia was bought out/partnered with Microsoft and Symbian was scrapped in favor of the Windows mobile OS.

Nokia isn't fairing much better either. The deal with Microsoft was viewed by many investors and even Nokia employees themselves as Nokia bending over to pick up the soap while in a jail house shower with Microsoft. About 1,000 employees walked off the job while shares dropped 14%. |

I've still got one of these:
People are always shocked by how small it is, and I like that it opens like a switchblade. Bitch to text with though. I considered upgrading, but they don't make anything this small anymore, and my purse is of very limited real estate. I blow all my money on my hobbies, so I can't afford a smart phone >_< |

What kind of cell phone do you have?
I have a LG Env Touch - do not buy one.
Over the 12 months that I have owned this cell phone, I have encountered a couple of problems worth throwing a fit over. I did a little research about the Env Touch and learned that several other customers experienced the same issues: As it continues to make calls out of my pocket, I feel more and more tempted to bring out the sledgehammer. The lock function simply does not work. If I hit an external button twice, it will dial up the last person who called me. Above all, though, my major concern is that the device will shut off at random times -- whether it is in my pocket, during a conversation, or just sitting on my desktop, having my phone unpredictably turn off is incredibly frustrating. The Korean-made device is a lemon. Fortunately, my father is the one who pays the phone bills -- not me. So can I complain?

The phone is over 2 years old and the hardware is outdated. Plug it into iTunes and hit restore, that will help out a bit.
