Installed standard Woodcraft clipons

Today I installed standard (no-rise) Woodcraft clip ons.

This is not for the faint of heart! Bars are now 3.5 inches forward and 5.5 inches lower than stock.

I have more hours in this than I want to admit, and it is still not complete. Functional, but not complete. Fairing mods and final gauge set placement are still needed.

Changed oil and filter, cleaned and lubed my chain and got to do what I had been hoping for the past week...INSTALL MY HUGGER!!
(This is Scott's newer version in SunBeam Red and Scott, as always, was great to do business with.)

I also replaced the stock oil cap with an aluminum billet one...just for kicks

Thumbs up

Added Yoshimura rearset adjusters at the office and came home to my Driven clip-ons so I spent the past 4 hours dicking with those.

Worth it.

Did a trial run of loading both my bikes in the back of my little Dakota. Was a little tricky loading them by myself but actually have a quite a bit of room between the bikes for ramps, gas can, canopy, etc... Can't wait for Monday!

Wow that's a lot of room. I'm thinking about making a dual motorcycle chock that attaches to the from the bed. I saw one that was made and was purely marvelous.

I hit the rev limiter in 6th gear again this morning on my commute to work. 110 mph indicated.

Took my bike out on the highway for the first time since I got my ZG double bubble. Man, does it make a difference.

Snapped this photo as well.

We are expecting rain for the next 2 days so I did this:

In order to get to this:

I had orignally only planned to shim the needles and pull the snorkel but when I had such a tough time getting the airbox out I decided I'm not putting it back in. I will go grab the appropriate filters tomorrow and order jets tonight.

Talking

Came home to find my Evotech exhaust hanger waiting for me and went ahead and removed those bulky, hideous and impractical (for a solo rider like moi) rear passenger pegs. Top notch quality and in addition to the reduction in weight, it helped clean up the rear of my bike for a more stream lined look. Love it

Custom made exhaust hanger...

Got tired of staring at a useless rear pegs. I removed them and made a custom exhaust hanger.

lol...that was...um...completely intentional. Call it male egotism, but I always thought you biker chicks, who are some what of a rare breed, liked it when us guys referred to y'all as "bro", thereby giving you gals the stamp of approval and recognition as "real" bikers....but I'm usually wrong in all things "girls", so my apologies

Added a block off plate for the kleen system, and turned the idle screws to 3 turns out which actually helped my 3 second lag if I don't launch above 4k. This weekend I will drop from 100 mains to 98s (dynojet) and see how the bike runs.

If it does move, a second support to the other opening should prevent it from moving. Oh, and maybe a little loc-tite.

I added a few more scratches to the bike from losing it on loose gravel in the parking lot at the track today. I wasn't even going fast. It also bent my shifter so I had to shift it with me heel on the way home. Tore my pants, and scraped my lower knee.

Definitely like it being extended forward compared to what I see on their site. How much did they charge to extend?
