BKMOTO BiXenon HID projectors Short

I installed the BKMOTO BiXenon HID projectors with angel eyes halos kit back in 2014. I have been very happy with them.

However, a couple weeks ago they stopped coming on. Since they both went out at the same time, I was thinking maybe a fuse went out. (They wouldn't come on using the high-beam switch either - ruling out a problem with the switch.)

After stripping off the fairings, I tested the connectors with another HID ballast and bulb and found that bypassing the BKMOTO control box I was getting power.

So, I took a look at the control box and found that the positive feed from the battery and one of the positive leads for the headlights had worked its way out and shorted.

I rigged a fix by trimming the main plug down and adapting a male plug to fit tightly over the post in the control box. I then re-did the wires that had come loose. (You can see that the small red & yellow wires are also loose, in the final picture.) The fix worked, but I consider it only temporary until I can get a replacement plug. I was glad the control box wasn't fried.

What I need to know now, is what you call that white plug so that I can search for it on the Net.
I have the control box zip-tied down and had the black rubber cover zip-tied as well since it seemed loose, so I'm not sure why this happened, but I went and zipped it all down again just to be sure.

Yeah, everything is working well. I do want to replace the plug. You wouldn't happen to know what it's called would you?

Maybe a large Molex style connector? I'm not entirely sure, you'll have to get creative on some electrical supply websites.

try looking for "8 pin xx.x mm single row female header"

where xx.x is the dimension in millimeter.

like chone said, creativity might be your friend...
