Diode Location and Random Hose question

I recieved the Battery Tender Jr. for Christmas and I had a couple questons after install.

The install went pretty smooth and I found a nice location for the pigtail to come out, but I noticed a small black hose that came from somewhere in the engine and wasn't conencted to anything on the other side. It's located under the black plastic 'knee' plates. I was just wondering what it is and making sure that I tucked it back in the correct location. I found a couple mystery hose threads, but it's none of those. Any ideas?

My seconds problem was, there are two diodes that sit on top of the battery cover. They are marked with different numbers and I accidently mixed them up. I don't know if it matters what position they are in because although they are printed with different numbers, the part number is the same according to bikebandit.com So does the positioning of the two matter, or are they interchangeable?

Thanks, that's what I figured, just the first time pulling apart the bike and wanted to make sure.
