I did a quick google shopping search and found this one. I have never shopped at that site before so just be weary with this suggestion.

edit: maybe this page too, I believe that's the correct one at the bottom of the list.

Can someone give me a direct link? When I get into the parts section I can never find the cowls.

Anywhere have free shipping?

Yeah thanks for the search, but I was wary about them and just called aftermarketcycles. They are showing the seat cowl as OEM, while it is really made by TYGA. That's why they are offering such a low price.

I found the proper link through bike bandit, the prices are all about $100 plus shipping.

I hope you realize that the 65 + 19 = 84
I don't understand why, when I go to the ex250 2010 version compared to the normal ninja 250 2010 version the prices are different. Strange, but if you can get it that low legitimately then that's great!

Wow.

I don't understand where you're seeing the discrepancy in prices. I only see EX250JAF Ninja 250R (2010) and EX250JAFA Ninja 250R (2010). I know mine is the latter because those are the special edition ones.

I just noticed that the blue is more expensive than any of the other colors, but I don't know why that would be.

whoops, never mind. Idk why the blue is more expensive, but even at $87 its a good price, normally I don't see them below $100, good find.

Either way I'll let you know how the sale goes through if you are interested. It is from Kawasaki dealership.

I called that Aftermarket Cycles and some guy answered his cellphone and just said hello, and when I asked if it was AC he said yes. There cowl is made by TYGA like I mention above, but they are trying to pawn it off as OEM, even using the Kawi part numbers...shady.

I'm not even finding it on your link. It takes me to the standard parts list and there doesn't seem to be an appropriate category (neither of the "cowling" categories and there is nothing referencing the "tail" area). Searching manually one-by-one is no fun, but that's what I'm doing now.

Anyway, IIRC, they sold the cowl part without the bumper or mounting hardware in the parts blow-up. It may be cheaper because it doesn't come with the other equipment. Are you sure you didn't order the plastic part alone?

Edit: Found it under "SEAT" (should be PLURAL!). Looks like 2008 CP Blue is $91.16 before anything else. MSRP is $100 and yet NO MATTER WHAT it will always cost more than that with shipping or dealer markup. This is seriously annoying. AFAIK, 2008 CP Blue is the only one that requires an undercoat so it's the only one that makes sense to charge more for, though it's not like it factored in to the cost of the bike! It looks like 2008 Passion Red and Green go for $65.32 but 2008 Ebony costs more (not quite as much as CP Blue: $75.96).

Edit 2: LOL! They are selling Ebony under the 2010 section for $65.32! Oh! According to Tyga's website, they do sell OEM Kawasaki parts for less. I poked around and they aren't kidding.

That's a lot to take in. It seems like you found it okay, it's under your model and then seat. It also says and gives the part number for the Kit, which includes all of the bits.

I'm checking out the Tyga site also, it seems like they sell, Kawasaki OEM parts but do not manufacture them like the guy at AC said.

Just wanted to bump this thread for anyone looking to buy a seat cowl. They are the best prices I've found for OEM cowl seats.

URL has an ellipses in it. I get an error.

I browsed to the 2008 cowl kits and they appear to be in-line with what I see elsewhere except that CP Blue is more expensive (*sigh*).

http://www.powersedge.com/pages/OemP.../I15I1527F2510
99996 99996-1360-H8 ! KIT,SINGLE SEAT COVER,EBONY | (OPTION) $76.96
99996 99996-1360-H8 ! KIT,SINGLE SEAT COVER,EBONY | (OPTION) $76.96
99996C 99996-1360-15D KIT,SINGLE SEAT COVER,C.P.BLUE | (OPTION) $92.36

99996H 99996-1364-777 ! KIT,SINGLE SEAT COVER | (OPTION) $76.96

After shipping or dealer mark-up, these are almost always right at or over $100.

I fixed the link, but I guess dealer prices have gone up since I bought mine last year, but I don't know why the blues are always more. Anyway, just buy it, it looks awesome and you won't regret it!

Thanks. I did buy one but I've dropped it several times and I need to polish it but I've just been keeping an eye on these anyway. The Chinese one for $28.88 or whatever it was was supposedly CP blue, so I considered that for experimenting with fit and such.

I've just become a member here, now that Bill has gone and wanted to have a TYGA Performance representative on this forum. I also wanted to confirm that the Kawasaki parts on our site if listed as OEM are exactly that. The prices for many parts are very competitive because the bikes are made in Thailand and we have a good account with them so don't be put off if they seem too cheap! It wouldn't be worth our reputation to falsely advertise these parts if they were not genuine.

Anyway, before everyone gets excited (or not) the shipping is quite expensive from Thailand to the US on single items but it is reasonable elsewhere such as to Asian destinations and by buying many parts at the same time, there is a good saving to be had on shipping and then the prices definitely make sense to many destinations. So let me know...
