Kawasaki OEM Bubble Screen

I'm trying to locate a Kawasaki OEM double bubble style windshield in smoke. I've seen them on the UK site and am trying to locate one in the states. Any ideas?

I haven't seen one in person, but a picture of a *clear* one is in this catalog from Kawasaki.

http://www.kawasaki.com/DigitalCatal...book/view.html

It's on pages 18-19 in the doc, but the page has printed numbers of 160 & 161.

The part number is apparently 204WSP-0016 for $119.95, and this google search suggests you may be able to order one from several places online:
http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&h...ea5cfbaf698700

Keep us posted if you get one -- I've been looking at getting one as well.

okay, I gotta ask... but, why not just purchase an aftermarket bubble screen from Puig or Zero Gravity for about 1/2 the price?

I wouldn't say it's 1/2 the price, the cheapest I found a ZG DB is $70+shipping from their outlet. Also they don't have the Kawasaki windshield logo so I would be spending money to get that.

Second I've seen way to many threads and various comments and complaints on the clarity, quality, thickness, flexing at speed, and the fit and tightness when installed.

I'm very obsessive when it comes to proper fit and finish, especially because it is a brand new bike. In the past I've done DIYs on my car from a forum I'm a part of and even though many people love their finish product, I often am unhappy with the results and feel that it was a 'hack' mod. I would like to stay with Kawasaki products that are made for the bike as much as possible.

Either way though, it seems like the smoke screen is only available in the UK and other parts of Europe. The clear just became available in the US. For right now I'm probably going to have the stock screen professionally tinted.

jmgrande, have you seen the aftermarket options in person or just online? That may help you to decide. That being said we love the Zero Gravity Double Bubble.

MRA makes the Kawasaki OEM double bubble windshield, you can get the MRA version cheaper (for $84.99) than the Kawasaki branded one. I was thinking about getting the ZeroGravity double bubble but I think I'm a fan of the MRA/Kawasaki style much better.

"Decided to get a double bubble screen to try and help with the wind blast. Looked at quite a few before deciding on the one from Kawasaki. Once unwrapped I discovered that they were made by MRA, which was a style I had previously disregarded based on the internet pictures."

I like it:

Very cool.. I run a MRA on my Busa and wasn't aware they made one for the 250.. You just help me decide what screen to get.

I bought a ZG touring for the 250 and didn't like the look, darkness, etc... resold it on ebay at a loss.. Never even used it..

Just wanted to say thanks for this. Unsatisfied with my Puig windscreen, will likely not buy another Puig product again.

Thanks for the info! I'll probably end up buying the one from twistedthrottle...but

if I could get my hands on the Kawasaki branded in smoke I WANT IT.

I found MRA colors:

http://www.twistedthrottle.com/artic...eview/88/1/19/

The darkest color is cool, but is it bad that you can't see out of it at all? I was originally going to buy the ZG dark smoke...I wonder how they compare in color.

That seems crazy to me. There's a guy here who sells the small "Kawasaki" decals included with some "ninja" and "250R" ones for about $6 shipped if you want the screen to say Kawasaki on it.

Plus, the Kawasaki branded windscreen say "KAWASAKI made by MRI" right on the front. Def not worth an extra $50 IMHO

I'm still determined to find the Kawasaki OEM Bubble Screen in smoked... I never picked up the MRA or anything for that matter last year. I think I'll have to order it from across the pond. Any members want to send one over to me??

Im really satisfied with my ZG double bubble. There are not any fit or finish issues with it. It is a high quality product. I'm not a huge fan of the rubber bumper look of the MRA screen. Does it come off to reveal a finished edge?
