Bike back together with Duc tail
I know alot of you have been waiting for a long time to see these so here they are. Still waiting for the right hand side fairing (UPS broke the one that I got now I have to wait for them to sort it out), but I have a crappy one on to get the bike safetied.
Thanks to Kevin for the decals (green Kawi on windshield, black Kawi on tail and green ninja and Kawi on fairing) Thanks to Matt for getting me the tail and putting up with me while I waited impatiently for it. Still to come is new right hand side fairing and 150 tire

I really like the side profile shot, think I just needed to take my time and remember how much I enjoy fabricating things and making things work...that is one thing that has been lacking in my job for a while.
Really happy how it turned out, not too sure when I turned so whiny, but hopefully it is passed now, might have been the winter and all the hiding inside the house. Thanks again Matt, gonna be nice to take the bike out for rides knowing that it is one of a kind......well in Manitoba at least

So 96% in Canada(lots of asians on the west coast that might bring one in), but probably still only 90% in the US

I'd love to do something like that to my bike, but the '07's are way too "old school" looking for something like that.

I keep hoping someone will make an aftermarket tail for the Ninja 250r that copies the Yamaha R1...a nice pointy sharp tail would be sweet on it.

How much for what? The tail?? or for the whole rebuild? or how much I picked up the wrecked bike for? This is the only tail that will make it into the US/Canada unless you go and pick one up.

I can probably be swayed to bring another one over. I didn't charge rob anything other than cost for it. Just figure its about $325 plus shipping. But since sportisi doesn't make them I cannot warranty them.

Not sure if it is because my bike was a wreck when I bought it, but I had to modify the undertail a little bit to fit properly, took some time and I'm still thinking that I need to pull it off (reglue some nuts) make a couple small tweaks then put it back on. Probably gonna get done when I get my alarm, and at that time I'll decide if I'm gonna put some LED's in the scoops (leaning towards not doing it). There is still one mounting point that isn't lining up but it is hiden behind the seat so no one can see the hole and it is held in place pretty good with the plate holder/turn signal mount. Anyone who thinks that anything coming over is a toss on and ride is mistaken, but people who like to tinker until something works will like putting it on

Ya I'm happy with the way it turned out, just needed alot of tinkering...wish I would have slowed myself down and actually removed more stuff off the bike when doing the test fitting
