Am I doing this right?
All of my boots are Gore Tex now. I don't have to worry about getting wet.
Left is Sidi Adventure, middle is my TCX X fives, and right is the TCX Air Tech. I haven't even had a chance to wear the ones on either end. I just need Gore Tex pants and I can be neck to toe. I've become a gear geek!

Congrats on WEARING protective gear. I'm a firm believer in dressing for the crash, not the ride. Better to sweat than bleed any day. Although I only have 2 choices, street gear or track gear.....so you may have more of an expensive fetish

I wish I had those kind if options. I've never had more than two peices of the same gear. (Besides mx jerseys, gloves, and pants.)

I haven't even tried them on yet. I hope it's an illusion due to the massive uppers...

Hah, the X fives were my first pair of really nice boots, they are great, on the road, but hot. The air techs are the summer road boot. With the mesh panels it should be nice and cool. The Sidi retails for more than I paid for the other 2! I'm doing some trips that will have off road or rough road for a majority of the trip, the adventures will be worn for those 2 trips, at least worn fit the Rockies passes. The adventure gear is stupid expensive lol

Well, the airs were necessary, the fives were just to hot last year, and the price I paid fit the foot issues was way mute than extra pair of boots. The sidis are replacing my $89 off road boots that put me in pain by the end of day 2, so, another expense I can justify negative they should last forever lol

Takes time to accumulate multiple options, unless money is abundantly available to you. I just look for deals in the fall/winter/spring, especially closeouts and leftovers from previous years.

Absolutely. Including the bikes. Those SuperTen's aren't cheap, but definitely the best of the japanese adv's in my opinion. One bad machine. I'd take one over a GS any day, although the SuperDuke Adventure and latest big Tiger have caught my eye too. Someday when I grow tired of my supermoto, an adv bike is on the list

Surprisingly, because of the second gen Ténéré, the '12s and '13s are stupid cheap. As in ~$8000 for one with nice bags! In a year or 2, after flashing this, I'll probably get a '15

My wife said they don't look too much narrower than the TCX boots. She also told me to quit worrying about it, and to stop asking for pictures of them...

gear geeking-out is good. i'm a gear geek. i'm really getting into a few other hobbies right now, and it sorta terrifies me how little protection i wear doing these things... bicycling for example, i'm going down the same roads i ride on a moto, almost as fast, except i wear a mm of lycra and a ****** skull cap helmet... and fingerless gloves... like what the hell, this is terrifying. but somehow its ok... because weight-savings...

So, they fit, but if they were any narrower, I would definitely not be keeping them. Since they are leather it will stretch enough, but wow, these things are comfortable and so much easier to walk in than my old Fly racing shorties

With any buy from Europe, either make sure you definitely intend to keep it or discover some sort of budget shipping. The return costs can easily destroy your triple digit savings

Ok, the whole gear whore thing might be getting out of hand...
They are on closeout, and as far as I can tell, I got the last 3 pairs in my size, as I have been scouring the net for weeks. 4 pairs of KLIM ADVENTURE, 1 pair Klim Baja Pro, and the goretex powerxross for the cold!
