2008 cowl no hardware will it still work? Not OEM

I have a 2008 250r the bike came with the cowl but I have noticed no hardware. I will be visiting my local dealer to see about purchasing the hardware kit. Have many of you installed the after market with zero problems? I am hoping I will not need to purchase a OEM since I have this one already. Would be helpful to hear your feed back..
Thanks

you can make anything fit if you want but the question is, is it worth it vs buying something that is made to fit?

The hardware is available from any OEM parts source. I've found Bike Bandit to be cheaper than most online sources.

Make sure the hardware kit has the plastic washers included, the smaller kits don't have them so you may have to get the larger kit that has them included.

The parts list shows maybe a total of $20.00 for material I have the cowl a new OEM is $99.00. I find it foolish not to try it many riders I am sure would agree.

keep in mind that knock of plastics are generally not 100% color match and fitment could be a little bit more off vs OEM.

^this is what I have read but from many people
