Can't get my ninja to start after carb clean

Hello, I am having some trouble getting my ninja 250 to start after fully cleaning the carbs and was wondering if someone can guide me thru troubleshoot steps? I'm not even sure if I have the hoses on right for start. I have the breather from tank haning out not sure if it connects to anything, I have no hose connected to under the handlebars that goes to the airbox

I got the manual for the 2012 kawasaki Ninja 250R on line and down loaded it
and it has hose connection details in it....
if you have just one hose wrong that could be causing the bike not to start.
the vacuum lines from the carb are the ones I would suspect first... those are the ones that go directly into the intake manifold , where you check for carburetor synchronization at... if their unplugged, the bike won't run.
or of their plugged into the wrong place....
the hoses have to be right.... you can't fake it and luck out !
get a manual and double check every line on that thing....
once your satisfied all is correct then you can start trouble shooting as to why it won't start.
Sorry I can't be more helpful than that but certain things MUST be right on these things, and the hoses that go everywhere are one of them.
.....
Bob......

What procedure did you use to clean carbs?
Did you turn petcock on?
Did you hook up vacuum hose to petcock?
Choke cable connected and adjusted?

Use small squirt-bottle to spray 1cc petrol down carb-throats (or into airbox snorkel). If engine starts, you know it's fuel-delivery issue.

Yeah I hooked up the vacuum and fuel line from the tank, I will have to try that spray next! Are the other lines crucial to get hooked up? Online it shows it as a emission line not exactly sure where that goes

That's probably what I am missing, there is a valve by the manifolds thay gors to the air box and nothing is connected. I screwed it in all the way and turned it 4 times.

Only big hose that goes into airbox's side is PAIR valve:

If so, you've got CA model.

Ah dang that's exactly what I have, I have the 3 spliter I'm assuming 1 goes to there then. So does it just connect 2 ways out of the 3?

All three legs of splitter needs to be plugged in. You can use this arrangement with 3rd port going to drive PAIR valve.

Thats it! The picture didn't show a hose for the 3rd slot thats why I was confused but now I see it hooked up to that valve! Thank you so much now I can hopfully get it running! Does it matter what hose is connected to which on that 3 line?

Doesn't matter how you have 3 legs of splitter hooked up. As long as all ends are connected to proper ports:

- carb vacuum port (source)
- coast enricher
- PAIR valve (CA emissions fitting)

Make sure vacuum hoses fit snuggly and clamps actually apply pressure. Otherwise, you can use small zip-ties.

Ok perfect thank you! Will I have to take the carbs out and re clean them? I tried starting it with the vacuum from the petcock in the spot where the emmision spot goes

That didn't do anything to the carbs that would require another cleaning.

That should be OK. But where does 2nd-carb's vacuum port go? If it's just left open, that'll cause you problems.
