In a cross-branding exercise with its Emilia-Romagna neighbor (and technically, it’s parent company), Ducati revealed a new Lamborghini edition version of the Diavel 1260. The limited edition Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini is styled after the automaker’s Siàn FKP 37 supercar, sporting the same Gea Green and Electrum Gold color scheme, similar-looking wheels and lightweight carbon fiber elements.



Lamborghini introduced the Siàn FKP 37 in Sept. 2019 as the company’s first hybrid car. The “FKP 37” stands for the initials and birth year of Ferdinand Karl Piëch, the late chair of the Volkswagen Group who passed away in 2019. The Siàn’s livery featured the number 63 on its spoiler, representing the founding of Lamborghini in 1963. The number appears on the Diavel’s radiator side cover, and it is also reflected in the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini’s limited production run of 630 units.



Ducati incorporated other design elements from the Siàn into the Diavel, most visibly with the forged wheels and the red brake calipers. The Siàn’s Y-shaped headlights inspire the motif on the Diavel’s seat, while its hexagonal-shaped taillights are represented in the shape of the bike’s stacked exhausts.



Ducati also incorporated carbon fiber for the radiator covers, air intakes, exhaust cover, spoiler, central fuel tank cover, seat cover, fenders, instrumentation cover and headlight frame. The lightweight material contributes to a claimed curb weight of 542 pounds, a two-pound reduction compared to the Diavel 1260 S.

The TFT display’s start-up screen shows both the Ducati and Lamborghini shields followed by an image of the bike’s silhouette. The Lamborghini logo also appears behind the fuel filler cap.



Mechanically speaking, the Lamborghini version is similar to the regular Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260 S. Ducati updated the 1262 cc Testastretta DVT engine for Euro 5 for regions where the standard applies, claiming a peak output of 162 hp at 9500 rpm and 95 lb-ft. at 7500 rpm. For North America, however, the engine remains unchanged from 2020, claiming the same peak torque figure but just 157 hp at 9250 rpm.

The Bosch six-axis IMU-managed electronics package also returns, including cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control EVO, Ducati Power Launch EVO and cruise control.



The suspension system is the same as the Diavel 1260 S, including a fully-adjustable 48mm inverted fork and monoshock from Öhlins. Apart from their red color, the radial-mount Brembo monoblock M50 four-piston calipers are also the same as the S model.

Ducati also designed a fighter pilot-style helmet with matching graphics that will be sold exclusively to Diavel 1260 Lamborghini owners.


In the U.S., the 2021 Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini is priced at $31,995, a significant premimum over the $23,395 Diavel 1260 S and the regular Diavel 1260’s $20,295 price tag.
