Trackday in the AM
We've spent the last week or so prepping my 250 to race in WERA this summer. No time to paint the new sharkskinz, but two of my friends went nuts with a roll of black masking tape while we were prepping other bikes:
Cheers! |

Haha, that's a cool scheme, Ed. This is my first season, E Superstock is a blast! We just did RRR last weekend, between expert and novice we had 14 ninjettes, good times. Next race for me will be Barber, then Jennings.
Looking forward to meeting you out there, the more 250s the better.

Wow, what a day. I beat the little Ninja around the track all morning, passing way more people than I thought I would. As long as I keep it in the right gear leaving a corner, it's good, haha.
By the end of the day, however, I was tired of getting sand (horsepower) kicked in my face, so I took the S1000RR out. It's just a little quicker than the Ninja. |

This is what 26.6 horsepower looks like coming out of the 90s at Talladega GP:

I'm jealous haha, the S1000RR is such a nice looking bike. Albeit, I'm a little scared to ride a 1000, I tried pulling my brothers friend's R1 into the garage and I killed it because I'm not used to such a "touchy" throttle.

As I understand it, Yamahas tend to have on/off clutches. It was probably more that than the throttle being touchy. And yes, the S1000RR is a kick-ass bike. I have a friend who would love one.

The BT003RSs. It was my first time on the 250, so I don't have much of a frame of reference. From talking to guys who race in WERA, the BT003 Racing front and RS rear is the best/most common combo for track/race riding.

We're headed to Roebling Road in Savannah in a few weeks; that 3/4 mile front straight is going to take forever on the 250, haha
