Spc2125's 2010 Ninja 250
2010 Ninja 250 Red 5760 miles
I can't express to you all how long I have been waiting for this moment. I finally have a new gen ninja! The seller drove it about 55 miles to my house for me. By that I figured it must be in pretty good shape. I gave it a decently thorough inspection while trying to keep my emotions from getting the best of me. And I must say, this bike is damn near perfect. Doesn't look like it has been dropped at all. It was exactly what I was looking for I took a quick pic before I had to head off to the registry and get things set up so I could enjoy ! I'm waiting to get a good camera so that I can start taking sweet pictures with my new bike. First Reactions I had a 2007 ninja 250 and it was my first bike. I have only have one summer under my belt, but after some dummy cut in front of me the old gen was a total loss. Nonetheless, i havent looked up the specs to compare the new gen to the old gen but my first impression was that my 2010 ninja is a lot bigger and a bit heavier. I love the aggressive look that it has and now I can park next to other bikes without feeling ostracized. Besides the bigger, heavier body I would also like to comment on the suspension. Ive only had about 20 miles of riding on it so far and I am undecided on the suspension of the bike. It definitely feels more soft and over the first few bumps I kind of braced myself only to be surprised that the bike handled the bump excellently. However, it does get a bit bouncy. Another comment that I would like to make on this bike is the crotch. Im not even trying to be funny here. I dont know if it was just because I was not used to riding, if the tank is actually more intrusive to the crotch region than the pre gen bikes. Performance wise this bike is something else. I've only ridden it once so far but the power seems good for the bike. The way its delivered is quite weird though. When riding in the lower gears, it's like you can pull the throttle as hard as you want but you're not going anywhere until you hit like 6k. And its like a turbo building boost where it just comes on out of nowhere. All in all, Im so excited to start off my spring right. I was a little premature and ordered a GP dan moto carbon fiber slip on. It shipped today so hopefully it will be here by the end of the week. But honestly, the stock exhaust is louder than my pre gen was and has a decent growl to it. Potential Mods GP Dan Moto Exhaust (ordered) 2-3 shim needle K&N filter Red Rim tape Debadge kawasaki decals seat cover double bubble wind screen Misc. caps for fluids/bolts Wider tire (eventually) I'm going to use this thread to document all my mods and keep a journal of my bike so I apologize for taking up the first page for reserving pics |

That is a good one sir !
I'm glad it red. I have no objections to it. It also happens to be my favorite color. For the ladies Yes! What is the answer to this?! Or else my silly first posts will be an utter waste of space |

But it was just that one day that I was able to ride it. Right now it sits in the garage out of sight and out of mind from my mother who doesn't know I bought another bike. Next week when the weather gets nice it should be pretty interesting. If I don't post for a while, please say a prayer for me. Can you spot it? |

Hahahaahaha, that's what I did ages ago when I bought a new amplifier. It stayed in it's brown box in my room whenever not in use, and I had to sneak it out for practice and stuff. That was a small feat, given AC50 s are kinda big and heavy for someone my size.
Good luck, and I hope she doesn't get pissed or freak. |

Sweet bike. I have a red '08 with a Danmoto Carbon GP slip-on. Pretty nice sounding exhaust for the money, loud too.

I had one too. I preferred it with the baffle, was still loud as hell but sounded better IMO.

I listened to a video with and without baffle and it sounded deeper without the baffle. The baffle made it sound like a dirtbike imho. But if its too too loud then ill get the baffle and test that before i get rid of it.

I felt the baffle didn't quite it as much as change it to a deeper tone.

So I installed the danmoto GP exhaust. When I have my earplugs in and am riding it I LOVE IT! The only part I don't like is anything over 7k rpm its like high frequency ricey screaming. So I ordered the baffle in hopes that it will help that. But I love the crackling and afterfire from the exhaust
But that leads my to believe that its running rich and I don't really need to shim the needles. Hmm.... |

I shimmed mine. Ran better with the Danmoto and a K&N air filter that way.
