Build Off or Rip Off?

The fact that the show ran in East Coast Prime Time and voting was done online guaranteed that jesse had no chance of winning.....anybody west wasn't even home from work yet.
IMHO....jesse was screwed over.

You're saying it's not fair...because the things should be judged not by merit, but instead by geographic location of the supporters, and west coast didn't have the same viewing numbers?

Don't know about the voting, don't even know who won.. but
Jesse made a bike looks like it could've been made 25yrs ago (ick)
OCC didn't even make a motorcycle (it burns your hands as you drive)
PJD is the only one who did an awesome lookin bike!

I think Jesse actually made the only really functional bike and should have won. The retro chopper look is definitely cool IMO. PJD's bike was more of just an art piece. Senior's reverse trike was just ridiculous...who'd want to ride in that position? Two-up would be awkward to say the least LOL.

The bike Jesse made is the same bike he has made for ever. He talked mad **** how he was going to do it himself blah blah blah yet still brought a team in to help him. Talked crap that he makes them by hand yet pjd has been doing that since the split from occ. The best bike won and voting was open from the night before so the west coast thing is not relevant.

I agree that occ does the bolt on bullshit in making bikes but pjd has evolved past that. I hated the show for a while because of that but with the stuff coming out of there shop it's pretty impressive.

Yeah, cause nobody is surfing the net when they should be working.... I don't know who won, but I'd bet good money that anyone who was interested in voting voted, regardless of time frame.

Jesus, they all look look like crumpled crap to me. One.... something that doesn't look even remotely functional or bike like, and two generic overpriced cruisers.

I've had the chance to see both PJD and OCC choppers up close. The PJD are really the better of the two.

James came off like a giant douche on the show. I'd take a ratted out 2fiddy anyday over those overpriced bikes

I finally got to watch the shows on my DVR. I used to watch Jesse's shows when they were on, and thought he was cocky, but he built some nice bikes. Maybe not my personal style, but nice nonetheless. The bike he built for this contest was hardly his best work to date, despite all the hand fab he did. And while his was the only one that had range to actually be able to "ride" for a good distance, I think he thought he was building for an episode fo "biker build off" where you build a really nice bike then have to ride like 500 miles to the place where it gets judged.

Senior clearly decided "I'm not going to win so let me build something that is cool instead of a bike."

Junior is the only one who took this seriously, and built a pretty good bike, but the 30 inch wheels are too far over the top. Other than that, the detail work was phenomenal. So what if it only has a 1 gallon tank, it wasn't built as a daily rider, it was built to win the contest.
