[urgent] my bike is dead. Very dead. Now what?

I am stuck at my college's campus right now (lol). Any tips with push starting it?
Seen many suggestions with starting at second gear/ neutral but i am a little scared honestly..i parked uphill so i guess gravity will help a bit but then traffic is going opposite way (going uphill).
It's the battery for sure cause gas tank is fulled and the indicator light won't even come on.
Ideas? If i can't get it start I will have to wait till tomorrow and get it towed to a shop..a little desperate right now.

Do you have the toolkit? I'd take the seat off and make sure that the battery terminals are securely connected. Then I would try and bumpstart it down the hill. Ignition on, get the bike moving pretty good, shift up to second from neutral, then pop the clutch.

You can do it in first second or third, in the video I did it in first but I've also done it in second and third. For first you only need like 5mph, 2nd and 3rd you'll want like 10

Oh yea, I did the video in my driveway with a still healing broken leg

Alright put it in neutral start running or rolling 4-5 mph jump on pull the clutch and shift to first or second both will work some bike like one more then the other. When you release the clutch bounce on the set to keep the rear wheel from skidding. Method 2 is the same but put the bike in gear 1st or 2nd pull in the clutch and get your running start hold in the clutch. Then jump on and release the clutch and bounce. Asking a person for a push would help a lot but it doesn't take much speed if your bike normally starts up easily when cold.

The back tire will likely skid/chirp slightly. Just be prepared for the feeling and you'll be fine. also put your choke in w/e position you normally would to start it. start revving it once the engine kick on and don't turn off till your home safe.

Eh, I've never had any of my bikes have the rear tire skid/chirp and thats with IRC's too.

Will go try these out now...if it goes fine i will just pull it to my neighborhood bike store and hopefully they have the right type of battery for my 250.
If i haven't check back that means i bumped into someone

That's how I start out cement mixer at work. The pull cords always get worn out very fast because of the cement dust in the air. I watched a guy pull one, it break and him mash his hand up nicely when he smashed it into the sharp edge of the case for the mixer. Plus, we don't have time to fix the cord, so I start it by turning the flywheel. It's actually really easy if you know how to find TDC by feel.
