Wind screen bolts?

So I lost one of my windscreen bolts and bought the spiked wind screen bolts
The screws at the top were exact match but at the bottom ones they came up short?
Was wondering if removing the front fairing and putting the nuts with the rubber will make it fit.

It should work just fine. I bought some colored ones off ebay and ran into the same issue. I had to take the front end off and secure the bottom bolts first before putting the fairing back on and then I did the top ones after everything back on.

Not from the inside. It screws the same way it would as if it were on the bike. The problem is that the screw isn't long enough to reach the rubber wellnut that it screws into, so you have to give it a little help so it can catch by pushing in the rubber wellnet so the threading is closer to the fairing. Sounds weird, but you'll see what I mean when its taken off.
