One thing I find weird about the bike is the way the rear wheel hugger looks. Does anyone else think it looks like a flat piece of plastic? If there is aftermarket options available for it I think that would be one thing to go.

Looks like it is sold. Thanks anyway though. I wish I had an extra 10K laying around, I would buy a new 675 in a heartbeat. Maybe I could use some of my bonus money to buy one...

I love the sound of the bike. But, I hate the riding position. It's very uncomfortable on my wrists. But, it's still a sexy machine.

This. 100%. It's like riding a dark ages rack!

I only need to look in the garage to see one

I have found the riding position fine (you need a lot of weight over the front to stop it rising ), as I use my legs to support myself and not my arms.

You might need a suspension adjustment.

Na, I need to use less throttle on acceleration ... the bike shop set the bike up for my weight.

Love those sport bikes, but cannot handle the ergos. At 69 I take quite a bit of ribbing about what I ride. (Twice, I have gotten the "Aren't you too old to be riding a sportbike?) I'm sure as hell not old enough to ride a Harley. I do wish that someone would make handlebar risers for some of these beautiful modern Cafe Racers along with corresponding windscreens. Kawasaki has done an exemplary job with its 250 and 500 Ninja since the late 80's. One of the guys in town just got a new black Ninja 500. That's a nice bike. If I decide to really get into touring, that 500 might be a bike to consider---although I would still love to have a GREEN 650 with a GREEN JAWA sidecar. That would be, in my view, the ultimate touring machine.

They may have set it up for your weight but not your riding style. You should be able to accelerate HARD without looking skyward. I would think stiffening the rear shock up a bit (but what do I know).

True... I plan on playing with the settings once I have a feel for it, ride nice anyway.

Heli-bars. I have looked at them for when I get a Daytona, (Hey, I can dream ) They raise up and out about an inch or so.
