Ya think the Ninja 400 has caught-on at the track?
I'd say so, if Junior Cup results are any indication -
https://www.roadracingworld.com/news...-road-atlanta/ There is one lone Yamaha in the group - in 12th place, just a head of 5 more Ninjas. |

Theres a ton at my local CCS races. Dominating the classes for the most part until a real moto3 bike shows up.

From looking at lap-times of same rider over the years on 250, then 300, then 400, I predicted 2-yrs ago that Ninja 400 was going to be dominating. Rocco smashed Ari's previous RC390 record at Sears Point Sonoma by HUGE 5-seconds! I got to see him do about 5 races last year, 3 of them with our AFMracing.org club! Chatted briefly with him at one of them, such nice kid! |

in CMRA they are quickly becoming the most popular bike. So many 400s on the grid in various classes. Interestingly last race we had a local young gun (Mikey Sanchez if you are familiar - fast kid) enter F2 novice / 300 superbike expert on a NSF250. F2N got released on the 2nd wave a few seconds after the 300 SBKE and he ran down everyone and won the race. He would pull back 10 bike lengths or more on the straights due to his corner speed exit and the power to weight of that bike. For reference he went nearly 2 sec a lap quicker than the fastest expert 300 superbike r3 and faster than all but 1 400 SBKE.

his lap times were getting into the 20's. I could barely do that on a proper middleweight. Now, I was perusing the recent results and notice last weekend he only brought his 300 for some reason (I'll have to see what was up) and he didn't score any 1sts. Basically, show up with a 400 if you want to be competitive in the classes where a 400 is allowed.

Fenter!! Yup I had to avoid him at Road A where he somehow yard-saled going into the chicane. You know that area
