Unhappy My Baby Fell!!

Hey guys, I'm a brand new Ninja Owner from Minneapolis. I have bad news though, my baby fell and hurt herself on her lower fairing and front fairing. She has a couple cracks. So my question is should I take this to a shop so they can mold the plastic back together or should I order new parts? And anywhere any Minnesotans know that is a good place to get her fixed?

Depends on how bad it is. Here's a thread that talks about how to do some repairs on minor cracks.

Crack is pretty large, a the piece with the turn signal broke and fell off, the cracks are big enough to put your hand through.

I personally would say just swap the parts yourself. If the bike runs well then no need have a shop work on it. they might be able to fix the front cowl but the fairing is a replacement either way. I would say go online find a new fairing cowl and after market lever and light. I dont know if you have a motorcycle recking yard in your area but they usually have little better pices if you can find what you need.

Is it not worth it to file an insurance claim?

It depends on your deductible. A new fairing and turn signal from Kawasaki will probably be over $500. If you add in the front fairing, it will definitely be over $500.

I would spend the money to get everything fixed perfectly. No need to take it to a shop, replacing fairings is very easy. You can order the parts from your dealership to avoid shipping costs.

It's a new bike, you don't want it to look bad. Get it fixed and get back on the road

Frame sliders and flush turn signals will help prevent this damage.

What he said. Get her fixed so she looks like new. I can't stand fingerprints on my baby.
