08 250r right side fairing

Right side fairing. Had a crack where the turn signal pushed through.

I cut the housing out for the light, and had flush mounts on it.

I fixed it with a plastic repair we use in my shop. Smoothed it out with filler and primed and blocked it. Could use a re prime before painting. Just to take out some sand scratches.

I guarantee my repair is strong, Im an I Car certified in plastic repair and body tech for 7+ years

Only want $60 + shipping

Hi Bill!

How about a DIY on how to fix cracked plastics? I'm sure it would be a very popular DIY.

Good luck w/ the sale... should sell quickly.

The chemicals I used is from Kent Automotive. Nothing special just sand the surface and apply.

The filler part takes years of practice to get right.

What about the painting? I know where to get the factory base and top coats, but do you have to paint the whole thing or is it possible to just paint the repaired parts and still get a smooth paint job? Is it possible to hide small cracks and scratches with a touch-up pen or will the added paint draw more attention? I, too, have a small crack around my right blinker... due to attempting to drive with a cable lock threaded through my tire/steering. That crack extends a little on the front fairing, so there is a mount point or something underneath that needs to be bent back.

No the blinker just screws into the fairing.
You have to get the whole thing painted.
