Odd

I recently emptied my gas tank because my bike has been sitting for awhile and not able to start. As shown here

http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=124414 (which I still haven't found out how to fix)

Filled it back up, and put it on reserve because it wasn't all the way full and it started pouring gas out quite rapidly into the fuel filter, and then a lot of gas started leaking out of my carbs. Can somebody tell me what's going on? Or how to fix it and maybe my bike.

Btw it was rapidly pouring out of the petcock on Res, without me cranking anything.

Bike issues-

Your floats are stuck or shrunk. Clean your carbs and replace those at least. While you're in there rejet.

You shouldn't have a reserve position on your bike. However you do have a prime setting that bypasses the vacuum actuation of the petcock . Regardless if you have fuel overflowing out the ven tubes you need to address that condition because it ain't right.

OP's bike is a pre-gen, which have on and reserve positions in the petcock.

One or both of your float valves are not closing after the fuel reaches the proper level inside the bowls.

The diaphragm of the petcock is not working properly and allows gasoline to flow down regardless of feeling or not vacuum from the running engine,.............but that is the least of your problems, as you can close the petcock each time the engine is stopped.
