Tradesies!

Alright so I got my brand new used R1150GS! Just picked it up from the BMW dealer. This bike is pretty nice, its very upright and the handlebars are really wide making it super flickable. Its a boxer twin which vigorously massaged my feet the whole way home.

The mirrors on this bitch are awesome. They are convex and in a good position to see everything behind me. The footpegs are really far forward compared to what I'm used to. So much so then when I went to take off I picked up my feet and put them on the exhaust I couldn't find the shifter.

Its a very comfy bike. Too comfy.... Suspicious....

This would be a pretty awesome bike from my road trip in a week and a half but I don't think I'll be taking it. I traded my K1300S for this bike but I don't think I will be invoking the 'No tradesies backsies' rule and will instead trade back for my K13 tomorrow.

Damnit, I want a similar style bike now, its so comfy but theres no room in my driveway. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. What should I do???

These are pictures.

I dunno man. I'm sure it's a sweet ride, but it's kinda ugly.

Ha, maybe you could call it the ugly duckling.

A GS without ridiculously expensive bags and trunk? I didn't know those existed.
Did it come with an aerostitch, or any Motorrad gear? Lol

A riding buddy just got the new one with the liquid cooling and the intake on top of the cylinders. He just took it up to the F1 in Montreal. Good all around bike for sure. Had a nice roar when he opened it up in front of me one morning.

Good luck with whatever the heck you are doing. Don't quite understand the post "Really? I don't think its that bad looking.... I wonder how much they want for it. "

I guess they were running low on loaners. I've had that GS a few times as well, but usually grab one of the R1150R's.

I had my bike there earlier this week for them to fix up some last minute things before the rally; they got me in quickly and took care of everything perfectly. I actually brought Zack a bottle of wine for going above and beyond in sorting out the farkles. I would have brought a six-pack, but it's harder to fit in a backpack. And hey, we can officially enjoy wine here in the bay area, so I guess it's allowed.

There's some really cool guys there, I definitely feel like they are doing good work on my bike. I'm getting some raised bars installed and it turns out my brand new pilot 3 rear had a puncture so I got to drop some bank on a new one. I didn't want to risk a patch n plug with my upcoming trip. I am taking the rear home though so I'll either patch it and put it on later or sell it to @rojoracing53 so he can squeeze it onto his 250

Sean, are you picking it up tomorrow? I'll be there mid-day to grab some emergency parts for the trip.

So this was a fun bike to ride. I do really like the position of it and its easy to steer. Also its fun as **** to stand straight up and ride like that. The handlebars are high enough that you can do it without being bent all weird and seriously, its goddamn fun.

This particular bike, I felt like it was going to fall apart on me. The engine was making some strange noises that can only be described as, that can't be good. The throttle was a bitch. My forearm is literally sore from how hard I had to grip the throttle to keep it steady. That throttle was sticky and had a lot of force retracting it.

Really it was a fun bike, I'd never have considered owning one before but now after riding a GS I do really like that style and I'm glad I got the chance to ride one, however old it may have been.

I'll also be very happy to get my K1300S back tomorrow with slightly raised handlebars and some new insides.
