Good luck!!! hoping the best for you!
I used to smoke 25 a day (only for one year tho) and i was able to lessen my intake to around 4-5 a day for the year after and now, I am 7 months smoke free. It was hard for me, so i'm guessing it must be harder for you!
btw, my mom went thru the same thing as you. 2 packs a day unfiltered gauloises (strong french cigs) and quit to nicotine gum. she still had withdrawal symptoms. she quit the gum after a year and had more withdrawal symptoms. now, she is 11 years nicotine free! (but she drinks a s**tload of coffee and goes thru 3 packs of sugar free gum a week haha)

anyways, Best of luck! quitters like you are the winners!

I don't know how anyone can smoke that much (yes I am a smoker). I do at MOST 10 a day. And I hardly ever have 2 less than 1hr apart.

Unless I am drinking. But then my throat feels like **** in the morning...

It's almost all out of your system, getting a vape will just **** you up again.

Cracking the biochemical dependence is the first step, & nicotine dependence is just short of opiates in terms of how hard it is to break.

Another few days and you'll have cracked it.

You can do it Matt; stay strong!!!!

I started at age 13 and smoked until 21 when I met my then GF (now wife) and she was not a big fan. Told her I'd finish the carton I had and would stop. Did it cold turkey and have not had a cigarette in 17 years.... I'm sure my lungs thank me for it

Don't give in if you have the urge, you can conquer this. Just imagine all the motorcycle stuff you can buy with the $$$$s you save!

Good luck!

Thanks guys,am looking forward to that turning point, physically i feel like crap but mentally i dont see myself giving in to the weed.
Here a pack is only around USD 1.50,the turning point was my 4 year old asking me to not have a smoke but play with him instead, cant beat that for motivation.
I can & will do this.

Holy crap cigarettes are like $10 a pack here in Massachusetts. If it were $1.50 I'd probably take up smoking just because it was a good deal!

Just kidding, of course. Good luck in your quest!

It is a good deal man. Just think of all the retirement savings that you'll never need to save for

Good Luck!

I have never smoked in my life and I never will. So I can't even imagine how hard it is to quit.. Hell I had withdrawals like CRAZY when I quit caffeine. Splitting headaches, dizziness, wanted to vomit all the time. It only took 5-6 days though.. then I was completely ok. I can't imagine how much worse quitting smoking is.

My god that's disgusting. Everything about a person who smokes that much is absolutely filthy. Their clothes, hair and skin, their car, their house, their pets... Everything. Thinking abut yourself from an outside perspective should be reason enough to quit, among dozens of others. Stick with it OP.

Your absolutely right, the smell permeates EVERYTHING.
Now...crap smells like crap...flowers smell like flowers....& i just realised how BAD sweat & hair gel really smell foul inside a helmet.
Its been a week & starting to feel some change, hacking up less oysters each morning, enjoying my food & the smell of baby shampoo on my son.
I dont want to become a reformed smoker pussy, hose that want to...enjoy it but my affair with the weed has come to an end.....
