cargo net on the newer ninjas

This might be a stupid question but how do you put a cargo net on the newer ninjas securely? I'm going on a road trip this weekend and need to know how. Any pics would be great too. thanks

If it's a stretchy cargo net and the bag isn't too heavy, then the cargo hooks under the tail should be just fine. If it is heavy or you are worried about it sliding, use a strap to wrap around the bag and the undertail, then use the cargo net to secure and form the bag.

EDIT: You can also utilize the hook rings that are part of the passenger peg brackets.

I use the helmet hooks under the passenger seat for the front and the cargo hooks at the back

I put one pair of hooks around the turn signals, and another around the metal 'triangle' brackets for the passenger footpegs.
I've done this many times and it works great - but of course you can't do this with a passenger.

A good way to hook up a cargo net is to get a pregen. lol

I just had to haul a 30lb container to cat litter on the back of my bike. I'm sure I got noticed since the container is a bright yellow.

I use the bungy cord for the backpack because it still likes to slide side-to-side under the net, but is also a good idea to use on items that you might feel are heavy.

This is one of the photos I really like with the cargo net. I like seeing the bike in that environment and the nice bright green.

I want to get a cargo net sometime in the future, they look very handy for stowing things. Would love to take a pair of pants along so I could change between riding pants and standard pants when I got to my destination.

Thanks. Every time I've ever tried to use mine ($5 from Harbor Freight) it was much too loose. It loses all the rubber tips though. XD

If you look at the first attachement, right in front of the rear turn signal looks like a clump of cord. If yours is like mine, that is the spot used to tighten up the cargo net. Not sure if that will help with how loose yours is.

I don't think mine has that. It's a tangled mess, but any attempt to slide bits of the mesh around just causes it to get misshapen. Using the peg holders should help a lot. I just didn't think of it! Thanks.
