EX500 seat on a pregen?

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know whether a Ninja 500 seat could fit a pregen (2007)?

There are two generations of EX500, and they have slightly different seats. The Gen1 is more like the PreGen's styling (though the PreGen and Gen2 do share quite a few parts too), and the line between the bottom of the seat and the side fairings is a straight line. The updated Gen2 has a few more curves, and there's a step in the edge line.

Gen1

Gen2

I don't have any further detail on how well it would fit, but just be aware that there are two different EX500 seats.

It will fit a ninja 500 though...
So I think it is time to get another bike.

Using a new seat to justify a new bike is totally good in my book.
